Para-Aramid Chopped Fiber

Para-Aramid Chopped Fiber

Para-aramid chopped fibers refer to short fibers of a certain length (usually several millimeters to tens of millimeters) that are precisely cut from continuous para-aramid filaments by mechanical or chemical methods.

Application:

Rubber reinforcement, engineering plastics, composite reinforcement materials, friction materials, etc.

Specification

Length(mm) Fineness(dtex) Density(g/cm³) Decomposition temperature(℃)
1 1.6 1.44 ﹥500
3 1.6 1.44 ﹥500
6 1.6 1.44 ﹥500

Mechanical Properties: Para-aramid chopped fibers have extremely high tensile strength and flexural modulus. Their strength is 5 to 6 times that of ordinary steel, but their weight is only about 1/5 of that of steel. This means that at the same weight, they can carry a greater load without breaking easily.

High Temperature Resistance: Para-aramid chopped fiber has excellent heat resistance and can maintain good mechanical properties even in high-temperature environments. Its long-term use temperature can reach 200-260°C, and the instantaneous use temperature is even higher.

Chemical Stability: Para-aramid chopped fibers have good corrosion resistance to acids, alkalis, and other chemical substances, especially organic solvents, oxidants, etc., so they are suitable for use in highly chemically corrosive environments.

Insulation Properties: Para-aramid chopped fiber has good electrical insulation properties and can effectively prevent current leakage. Therefore, it is often used as an insulating material in electrical engineering and electronic equipment.

Fatigue Resistance: It also has excellent fatigue resistance, and its mechanical properties decay very slowly even in dynamic environments with repeated loading and unloading.
