Para-aramid staple fiber is produced by curling and cutting para-aramid filament into staple lengths. The specifications include 38mm, 51mm, 76mm, etc. At the same time, para-aramid staple fiber has developed 11 color variations including gray, black, navy blue, military green, orange, and bright red, all of which feature excellent color fastness and high-temperature resistance.
Bulletproof protection, high temperature resistant non-woven fabrics, spinning yarn, etc.
Variety | Length(mm) | Line Density(D) | Breaking Strength(cN/dtex) | Elongation at Break(%) | number of crimps(Indivual/25mm) |
Spinning Grade | 38、51 | 1.5 | ≥16 | 3.5±0.5 | 7-10 |
Industrial Grade | 51、76 | 1.5、2.25、4 | ≥16 | 3.5±1 | 5-9 |
High Strength and High Modulus: Para-aramid staple fiber is approximately five to six times stronger than steel wire of the same volume, with a high modulus that ensures excellent shape retention and is not easily deformed when subjected to stress.
High Temperature Resistance and Flame Retardancy: Para-aramid staple fiber has good heat resistance and can still maintain its performance under high-temperature conditions. It also has excellent flame retardant properties, is not easy to burn, and will automatically extinguish after leaving the flame.
Chemical Resistance: It has good chemical stability against acids, alkalis and most organic solvents, and is not easily corroded or dissolved.
Electrical Insulation Properties: Due to its unique molecular structure, para-aramid staple fiber has good electrical insulation properties and is suitable for insulation materials in electrical equipment.
Fatigue Resistance: After experiencing multiple stretching cycles, para-aramid staple fiber can still maintain its mechanical properties and show good fatigue resistance.
